Geometry and Foliations 2003
September 10-19,  2003
Ryukoku University
Fukakusa, Kyoto, Japan

About the Conference

The objective of the conference is to stimulate the exchange of new ideas in various fields of foliations. Any field of foliation theory will be treated in GF2003, with special emphasis on new directions of research for future development. The topics include: foliations and laminations of 3-manifolds, foliations and contact structures, holomorphic differential forms, rigidity of foliated structures, dynamical systems and foliations, characteristic classes for foliations, classifying spaces for foliated structures, analysis on foliated spaces, ...

The organizing committee intends to select such new topics and invite the most suitable speakers possible. Every participant will have the opportunity to give a contributed presentation. Young researchers and students are therefore particularly welcome to take part in the conference.
